HVYSA Tackle Football’s mission is to teach football skills and prepare players for the next level, but more importantly, to have fun.
Registration for 2024 season is open!
Registration Fee: $150
All players get to keep their jerseys. Names on back of the uniforms will be at the parents' cost. Registration fee covers equipment reconditioning and purchasing, practice and game pants (must be returned), socks, and jersey.

Football FAQ
When do practices start and end?
Practices start July 29, 2024. All practice schedules will be set by Roanoke County Parks and Recreation, once we have the schedules, we’ll pass them along to all the coaches and registered team parent.
How many practices per week?
There will be 3 practices per week, approximately 2 hours each. Two practices with pads and one practice without pads.
Where are practices and games per week?
All practice and game schedules are set by Roanoke County Parks and Recreation, once we have the schedules, we’ll pass along to all the coaches. Plan for 3 practices and 1 game per week.
What equipment do I need to provide?
All players are provided with practice and game pants, shoulder pads, and helmets, these items must be returned. Players will also receive a jersey, to keep, names may be put on the back of the jersey at the parents' expense, and socks. Players will need to get a chin strap, mouthpiece that attaches to the facemask (not white or clear), cleats, and practice jerseys.
How do I volunteer to be a head coach or assistant coach?
If you plan on coaching football, please complete the coaches volunteer section of the registration page. All coaches will have to pass a background check done by Roanoke County Parks and Recreation. Coaches must be screened annually and must wear their badges while on the playing field.
